QA Specialist/Job Coach

JOB PURPOSE: The Auditor is responsible for the coordination of the quality of services, timesheet reception and correction for audit reporting to ensure quality, integrity and effectiveness. This position would serve as a liaison between the providers and the billing department. The Auditor would handle any issues that may arise from the timesheets found in in-house audit and state directed audits.  Proficiency in this position will require a comprehensive knowledge of the timesheet procedure and the company’s goals and expectations. This position involves assisting individuals experiencing developmental disabilities in the acquisition of work maturity skills necessary to obtain employment and independently maintain employment in the community. Job Coaches provide ongoing support to consumers working at various employment sites within the community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Managing and maintenance of Therap programs
  2. Data Entry, program updates, set up individual profiles, create users IDs, assigning privileges in Therap
  3. Note Taking training
  4. Assistance with note reviews for billing - QA
  5. Work independently and with a team on special and ongoing projects when necessary
  6.  Provide support to various Departments as needed to ensure easy workflow processes.
  7. Maintain internal Quality Systems
  8. Support of agency audits
  9. Process claims, adjustments, and corrections found during audit
  10. Conduct  Service Audits, Timesheet Audits, & Employee Audits
  11. Quality Assurance record retention
  12. Detail oriented, fast pace, accurate reporting
  13. Able to prioritize, self-correct, and follow up as necessary
  14. Perform all other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES;

  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service
  • Must have knowledge of the HIPAA laws of 1996 to maintain and safeguard confidential medical and personal records
  • Knowledge of various Microsoft software applications, such as MS Word, Ms Excel. Must type 65 wpm
  • Multi-line phone, copiers and fax machines
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to consistently be at work and on time
  • Ability to maintain a confidential working relationship
  • Excellent personal organizational skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of Quality System requirements

  • Maintain all Company policies and procedures are being used.
  • Provide input in meeting new regulatory guidance from Federal or State levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma/GED and a minimum of one year quality related experience.
  • Must have a valid Alaska Driver’s License
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrative poise, tack, and diplomacy
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in accounting, word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (Oracle, Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Requires continual attention to detail and composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to work in an office setting, Anchorage based
  • Position may require extended hours including evenings and weekends.
