Therap/QA Specialist
Basic Function: The Therap/QA Specialist is responsible for the training and implementation of the Therap program for field staff and inner office staff. He/she will develop Therap programs and procedures that ensure quality and efficient note taking for the agency. This position would serve as a liaison between the providers and the billing department as well as handle any issues that may arise from the timesheets found in in-house audit and state directed audits. Proficiency in this position will require a comprehensive knowledge of the timesheet procedure and the company’s goals and expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing and maintenance of Therap programs
- Data Entry, program updates, set up individual profiles, create users IDs, assigning privileges in Therap
- Note Taking training
- Assistance with note reviews for billing - QA
- Pop-up visits for service implementation
- Working with CMs regarding Therap, note reviews, staffing, and reporting to CMs regarding pop-up visits
- Help CMs with contacting staff for note corrections
- File audits
- Work independently and with a team on special and ongoing projects when necessary
- Manage Therap EVV invalid submissions as they come through the system while assisting CMs on EVV entries to ensure they are complete and accurate.
- Provide support to various Departments as needed to ensure easy workflow processes.
- Read, test, provide input to any new changes on THERAP system updates.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES;
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service
- Must have knowledge of the HIPAA laws of 1996 to maintain and safeguard confidential medical and personal records
- Knowledge of various Microsoft software applications, such as MS Word, Ms Excel. Must type 65 wpm
- Multi-line phone, copiers and fax machines
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to consistently be at work and on time
- Ability to maintain a confidential working relationship
- Excellent personal organizational skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude
- Knowledge of Quality System requirements

- Demonstrates good working knowledge of data entry
- Effective time management is demonstrated by completing all tasks, with accuracy and precision
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude
- Must understand EVV of what is required for CURES ACT of 2016 elements.
- Data analysis using reports and tools from THERAP system as needed for management.
- Improve easier interface with THERAP (e.g., Individual Home Page)
- Maintain all Company policies and procedures are being used.
- Provide input in meeting new regulatory guidance from Federal or State levels.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma/GED and a minimum of one year quality related experience.
- Must have a valid Alaska Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrative poise, tack, and diplomacy
- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in accounting, word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (Oracle, Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Requires continual attention to detail and composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to work in an office setting (Wasilla/Anchorage) and field based
- Position may require extended hours including evenings and weekends, travel to clients residency
